Trump Attacks Syria – Gold Pushing Higher

GCNYNF-W 4-6-2017

Trump authorized the U.S. military to launch more than 50 missile strikes aimed at an airfield near Homs. Trump has stated that he had targeted the Syrian airfield from which an earlier chemical attacked had been launched. He also called on other countries to end the bloodshed in Syria. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that Russia had failed to carry out a 2013 agreement to secure Syrian chemical weapons, suggesting that Moscow was either complicit or incompetent in its ability to uphold that deal. Trump said publicly:
“On Tuesday, Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad launched a horrible chemical weapons attack on innocent civilians. Using a deadly nerve agent, Assad choked out the lives of helpless men, women, and children. It was a slow and brutal death for so many. Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered in this very barbaric attack.”

While the breakout still requires getting through 1362, resistance still stands at the 1287 area. Technical resistance for tomorrow stands at 1270-1271 and we need to see a closing above that for this week to imply a bump higher into next week.
