QUESTION: Do you ever endorse politicians? It would be nice to see if someone gains your respect since you are pretty hard-nosed when it comes to our representatives.
WB
ANSWER: That is not an easy question. As I have said many times, I can run for Congress and say whatever you want to hear to get elected. Maybe I am even sincere. However, when you get to DC, on day one, there is a meeting, and you are then told this is how things work. You are to vote as they tell you. Just look at most votes. They are down the party line. What is encouraging is that I have encountered a rarity. Someone who is a trailblazer, and as such, the Democrats are out to oust her in any way possible with a pro-war yes person.
I will endorse Anna Paulina Luna, a 35-year-old who has made it clear she is not there to vote as she is told. We need people like this as we head into 2032. This is her first term in 2022, and she is up for re-election here in 2024. Even Time Magazine called her the Influencer who came to Congress. You can tell she is doing a real job when the LEFT Press attacks her in her first term. We need more like her for our future as a society. I have spoken with her, and she is genuine. She seems to have a fire in her belly and is truly an advocate for change. We need more newcomers like her to make a difference.
Anna opposes the Neocons and has criticized the “establishment.” She is a member of the Republican Party and serves in the United States House of Representatives from Florida’s 13th congressional district. She opposed the RINO from California, Kevin McCarthy. She did impress me, and as a hard nose as you say, that is not always so easy.
In May 2023, she co-sponsored resolutions to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, and U.S. Attorney for D.C. Matthew M. Graves. She also sponsored a resolution to have Adam Schiff removed from Congress. She is a member of the Freedom Caucus.
In 2023, she was among 47 Republicans to for H.Con.Res. 21, which directed Biden to remove U.S. troops from Syria within 180 days. She was in the military and had some experience in these matters. She was also among 52 Republicans who voted in favor H.Con.Res. 30, which would have removed American troops from Somalia. My favorite was that she also was a co-sponsor of the Ukraine Fatigue Resolution (H.Res.113), calling for the suspension of all U.S. foreign aid to Ukraine and promoting ending the conflict with a peace agreement. Obviously, the Neocons do not like her. She is consistent and voted against the $60 billion military aid package for Ukraine in April.
